WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Authorities are investigating after a 50-year-old man's body was found in a private pond near Haysville.

Rescue crews were called at around 4:40 p.m. Tuesday to the report of a submersion in the 6300 block of South Broadway. A woman tells KAKE News she was walking in the area and found the body of a male floating in the water about six feet from the shore.

Lt. Tim Myers with the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office identified the man as Fabian Ray Ludlow.

Capt. Brad Hoch said Tuesday that investigators believe the body had been there "a while," but he didn't know for exactly how long. A cause of death is under investigation.

Anyone with information that might assist in the investigation is asked to call sheriff’s investigators at 316 (660) 5300, or Crime Stoppers at (316) 267-2111.
