SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) -

One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Sedgwick County Sunday.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s office says deputies were dispatched to the accident west of 39th Street South and 279 Street West – west of Lake Afton, near Garden Plain.

When they arrived, they found a Toyota Rav4 fully engulfed in flames. A Ford F250 pickup truck was found in the middle of the road. It appears the vehicles hit head-on in the roadway.
