Critical injuries for person rescued from south Wichita house fire

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

One person has suffered critical injuries after being pulled from a burning home in South Wichita.

Firefighters were called to the single-story home in the 2200 block of S. Victoria just before 6 p.m.

Captain Colby Roberson of the Wichita Fire Dept. says the man was found in a bedroom of the house, and taken to a local hospital. 

The fire caused significant structural damage to the house. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
