Police: Man hit dog with truck, 'used force' to kill it

OLATHE, Kan. (KAKE) -

Olathe police say they have identified and contacted a man accused of using force to kill a dog after hitting it with his truck.  

The police department posted two images of the suspect on it's Facebook page early Friday morning. Police say the man struck the dog near North Monroe and West Poplar streets.

"After the collision, the subject reportedly exited the vehicle and used force to end the canine's life. A reporter with the Fox station in Kansas City reported on Twitter that the dog was stabbed. 

His identity was not released, and it's unclear whether he'll face any charges.
