BUTLER COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) -

Rescue crews in Butler County saved a dog that was stuck on a rock in fast-moving floodwaters on Tuesday.

The county emergency communications department said on Facebook that multiple crews from Andover, Augusta and the county participated in the successful rescue near Benton.

"NEVER enter flood water!" the Facebook post says. "This was a very challenging rescue that could have a very different outcome if attempted by untrained and unequipped people."
