Former Clay Center chamber director jailed on child sex charges

The former director of the Clay Center Area Chamber of Commerce and a school board member, is jailed in Clay Center in connection with two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child. Clay County Sheriff Chuck Dunn tells KSNT news that Andrew Contreras, 60, was returned to Clay Center from Tennessee last Friday. 

Dunn says the case was investigated by the Clay Center Police Department and says Contreras hasn't been associated with the chamber or the school district for the past several years. He is being held on $35,000 bond.
