The disappearance of a Kansas teen remains a mystery for more than 20 years.

April Wiss was last seen leaving an apartment complex in the 500 block of Marion Road in Wichita on Jan.11, 2000 – the last time she was seen. Her friend told authorities that she saw April heading towards Pawnee Street and Broadway between 10 and 10:30 p.m. Investigators believe that she may have had her pager, apartment keys and wallet with her as well, according to details shared in the government’s National Missing and Unidentified Persons System.

April was 16 when reported missing and, if alive, would be in her 30's today.
