Pepperidge Farm voluntarily recalls Goldfish crackers for salmonella risk
Pepperidge Farm announced a voluntary recall Monday of 3.3 million units of its Goldfish crackers due to the possible salmonella risk.
Four different varieties of Goldfish crackers were recalled. Those varieties included Blasted Xtra Cheddar, Flavor Blasted Sour Cream & Onion, Goldfish Baked with Whole Grain Xtra Cheddar and Goldfish Mix Xtra Cheddar + Pretzel.
Pepperidge Farm said in a statement, it was notified by an ingredient supplier that the whey powder used in seasoning the four varieties of the crackers could contain salmonella.
So far no illnesses have been reported. No other Pepperidge Farm products in the U.S. are subject to this recall.
