COFFEYVILLE, Kan. (KAKE) -

A Kansas teen has died after he was pulled from the water at an aquatic center on Independence Day.

Coffeyville Public Schools said Thursday on Facebook that Juan Manuel Donis-Francisco, a 2018 graduate, had passed. He had been hospitalized since being pulled from the Coffeyville Aquatic Center on July 4th.

The district said an account was set up at Community State Bank to help Juan's family with funeral expenses. A GoFundMe account was also established Tuesday.

"At this time please keep the family, Coffeyville Lifeguards, CRMC EMS, CPD, and CFD in your thoughts," USD 445 said.
