Man shot, killed in Kansas home

TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) -

Authorities are investigating after a man was fatally shot in Topeka.

Police said in a news release that officers responded just after 6 p.m. Monday to a report of a shooting at a home in the northern part of the city. The release says the victim was rushed to a hospital, where he later died. He's been identified as 35-year-old David William Payne.  

Police said 32-year-old Tony Lee Foster was booked on murder charges in connection to the shooting.
