WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Wichita State baseball opened up their Todd Butler Future Shockers Camp on Monday at Eck Stadium.

Kids ages 6-to-12 able to learn from several current and former Shocker players.

Meantime, there's a lot of turnover from last year's club. Guys like Alec Bohm and Greyson Jenista drafted in the first two rounds of the MLB Draft. Assistant Willie Schwanke says next year's group will be ready to step up.

"A lot of new guys, new faces, that are gonna come in and the older guys that were here last year they set a tradition. They wanted to leave something behind and I think they accomplished that. With that being said, all the new guys, we're gonna have to get them accustomed to what we've built as a coaching staff and what the players left behind, what to expect and stuff like that. It's gonna be fun, especially for me being a new coach. It's gonna be fun getting around and actually having to coach quite a bit," he said.
