Authorities say there was alcohol in a car that crashed head-on into another near Derby, killing both drivers and sending two passengers to the hospital.

The crash happened at around 8:30 p.m. Sunday near 63rd Street South and Clifton. Lt. Tim Myers with the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office said the preliminary investigation indicated that a Honda was heading west on 63rd Street, crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming Chrysler 200.

The 29-year-old man driving the Honda died at the scene. He was identified Tuesday as Bryan Langille. A passenger in his car, 32-year-old Elesha Kossak, suffered critical injuries.

Lt. Myers said the driver of the Chrysler, 53-year-old Kelley Lynn Houlton, also died at the scene. Her passenger, 71-year-old Mary Watts, was hospitalized for treatment of her injuries. Her condition was not provided.

"Alcohol was present in the Honda," Lt. Myers said, adding that the crash is still under investigation.
