No felony charges after Andale teacher arrested for sexual battery

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

The Sedgwick County district attorney's office says no felony charges will be filed against an Andale teacher who was arrested or sexual battery.

Robert Richeson, a technology teacher for USD 267, was booked booked Sunday, July 8, for aggravated burglary and sexual battery.

The DA's office said Tuesday that no felony charges would be filed against Richeson,saying the "investigation revealed insufficient evidence to support all the elements of a felony."

Sedgwick County jail records show an Andale High School teacher was arrested Sunday morning.

Records show Robert Richeson, a technology teacher for USD 267, was booked into jail around 8:30 a.m. Richeson was booked for aggravated burglary and sexual battery. 

Superintendent Mindy Bruce released the following statement:

Robert Richeson is an employee of Renwick USD 267.  The district will fully cooperate with the officials who are conducting the investigation and we are still collecting details at this time.  As always the safety of the students is our first priority.
