Amber Alert canceled for 13-year-old Kansas girl

LENEXA, Kan. (KAKE) -

An Amber Alert for a missing Lenexa, Kansas girl was canceled late this afternoon.  Amber Lynn Rewerts-Schiavoni was located in St. Paul, Minnesota with a man identified as Dechon White.  White was taken into custody.

An Amber Alert has been issued for 13-year-old from Lenexa, Kansas.

Police say Amber Lynn Rewerts-Schiavoni was last seen at around 1 p.m. Wednesday leaving her home near 77th Street and Quivira Road with a 22-year-old man. She told a parent that she was walking to Oak Park Mall in Overland Park.

At approximately 4 p.m. that same day, the girl and the man, identified as Dechon White, were seen at the Greyhound Bus Station ticket counter in Kansas City, Missouri.

Lenexa police say the pair may have taken a bus to Minneapolis/St. Paul, or may still be in the Kansas City area.

Anyone with information on Rewerts-Schiavoni's disappearance or her whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Kansas City Crime Stoppers at (816) 474-8477.
