1 critically hurt in Wichita house fire

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

One person has been hospitalized in critical condition following a house fire in Wichita.

Crews were called at around 8:45 a.m. Thursday to the report of a fire in the 500 block of North Estelle, near Central and Grove. A 911 dispatch supervisor initially said three people were hurt. 

The Wichita Fire Department later said on Twitter that one patient suffered smoke inhalation was in critical condition. No one else was taken to the hospital.

Battalion Chief Tom Carney said the fire was on the back porch of the house. The cause is under investigation.
