Wichita woman dies in crash in Marion County

One person is dead following an accident involving a semi and pickup truck.

The accident occurred oh highway 50 shortly before 5 p.m. west of Florence, Kansas in Marion County on Wednesday.

Crash logs show 22-year-old Shelbi Kind of Wichita was driving westbound on highway 50 when for unknown reasons, she crossed the center line and collided head on into another vehicle.

The driver of the semi was identified as 56-year-old Daniel Coyle of Hillsboro, Ohio. The crash log shows Coyle was pulling a Great Dane trailer at the time of the accident.

Kansas Highway Patrol and KDOT assisted with traffic.

Further details regarding the accident have not been released.
