Man dies following motorcycle crash in north Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Police say a 39-year-old man who was injured in a motorcycle crash in north Wichita has died.

Officer Charley Davidson said Wednesday that Joseph Gunn died following Monday's crash at 21st Street North and I-135. Gunn was heading west on 21st Street at around 9:50 p.m. when his motorcycle collided with a pickup turning east from the highway.

Wichita police say a 39-year-old man remains in critical condition after his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck Monday night.

The accident happened at around 9:50 p.m. at 21st Street North and I-135. Officer Charley Davidson said the motorcycle was heading west when it collided with a pickup turning east from I-135.

The man was ejected from the motorcycle, suffering critical injuries. He was not wearing a helmet.

The 56-year-old woman driving the pickup was not hurt.

Police are still investigating the crash, Officer Davidson said Tuesday morning. No names were released.
