5-year-old girl accidentally shot by sibling in Pratt County

SAWYER, Kan. (KAKE) -

Authorities say a 5-year-old girl has been taken to a Wichita hospital after a sibling accidentally shot her with a shotgun in Pratt County.

The incident happened at around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 110200 block of SE 70th Avenue, which is southeast of Sawyer. Undersheriff Max Barrett told the Pratt Tribune the girl suffered a shotgun wound to the left arm and that she was accidentally shot by a sibling. 

A helicopter transported the girl from a local hospital to a hospital in Wichita. Her condition was not released.
