Kansas teen dies in crash day after graduating high school

CHAPMAN, Kan. (KAKE) -

A Kansas teen who was killed in a crash on Monday had just graduated from high school the day before.

The accident happened north of Chapman in Dickinson County shortly before 11:30 p.m. Sheriff Garreth Hoffman said 17-year-old Colin Henderson was driving in the 3200 block of Rain Road when his vehicle left the roadway, struck a driveway culvert and overturned. Henderson was ejected fro the vehicle.

Henderson graduated from Chapman High School the day before the crash, the Salina Post reports. 

Sheriff Hoffman said Henderson was not wearing a seat belt and there was no indication of any alcohol or drugs at the scene of the accident.
