WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Police have arrested two people after a man's body was found in a west Wichita home.

Officers responded at around 4 p.m. Wednesday to the report of a disturbance in the 200 block of North Sabin, near 1st and Tracy streets. They contacted two men who said that a man they didn't know came to the home.

"A disturbance broke out during the day and they said that they had punched the male," Lt. Todd Ojile said.

Officers entered the home and found the body of the 39-year-old victim whose name was not released. He'd suffered blunt force trauma injuries to his face.

Investigators believe the victim had been at the home most of the day.

"They (suspects) both stated they did not know the individual, but they allowed him into the residence and let him stay inside there during the day," Ojile said.

Jail records show 29-year-old Bryce Martin and 64-year-old Rick Oden were booked early Thursday morning for voluntary manslaughter. Martin was also jailed for possession of drugs and stolen property.

Kansas Department of Corrections records state Martin has served time on Community Corrections for aggravated battery and criminal threat.

The man's death was Wichita's 3rd homicide of the week and 18th of 2018.
