Missing Kansas woman found dead

LENEXA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Kansas authorities have confirmed that Georgia Miner, a 75-year-old woman who's been missing for several days was found dead in a hotel Thursday evening.

The Lenexa Police Department confirmed this in a Facebook post:

The KBI, at the request of Lenexa police, issued a statewide alert for Georgia Miner on Thursday. She suffers from dementia and was last seen March 2.

Miner drives a silver 2007 Hyundai Sonata with Kansas tag 406-AZQ. According to family, Miner has exhibited signs of dementia and has gotten lost while running errands recently. It's wasn't known if she has her medication.

Miner stands 5-foot-4 and weighs 135 pounds. She has blonde, medium length hair and blue eyes.
