Kingman County fire department monitored hotspots after wildfires Tuesday

Posted: Updated:

The Norwich Fire Department was checking up on hotspots throughout the day. The department said it had a few fires rekindle but were able to extinguish it quickly. We're told 1,500 acres were burned in Kingman county alone.

But across the state, fires burned 25,000 acres. The state emergency management office says there were more than 50 fires raging.

The Norwich Fire Department says while the wind has died down it’s still a concern, “as dry as it is it doesn't take too much to push the fires. If you see a fire call the fire department quickly, We need to get out there quickly.”
