Newton Walmart evacuated after bomb threat

NEWTON, Kan. (KAKE) -

Police say the Walmart in Newton was evacuated Wednesday morning as they investigated a bomb threat.

The Newton Police Department said in a Facebook post Wednesday morning that the store had received a bomb threat call. Officers evacuated the store at 1701 South Kansas and the surrounding area as a precaution.

No suspicious devices were found and the Walmart was back open for business.
