Firefighters have manage to contain most of the wildfires that have spread across the state.
Starting Monday morning and following into Tuesday evening, wildfires have burned over 25,000 acres in the last two days.
Areas affected included North Central, Southeast and South Central Kansas. Many highways were closed due to the fire conditions and smoke. All highways have been reopened.
The Army National Guard deployed Blackhawks to assist in fire containment and transporting water buckets to Ellis county.
Crews in Ellis county are still monitoring some areas in hopes of being able to contain any fires that could carry over into Wednesday.
No structures have been destroyed and no injuries have been reported.
