Wichita State gets ready for conference tournament

The No. 11 Wichita State Shockers head to Orlando on Wednesday to get ready for their first American Athletic Conference Tournament.

WSU has the 2-seed and will play the winner of Thursday's Temple vs. Tulane game on Friday at 6 p.m. on ESPNU. All games will be played at the Amway Center in Orlando.

They will have to win three games to win the championship, which will be played at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, leading into the Selection Sunday Show.

"I'd have to say in 20 years head coaching now this will be my first time playing so late in the second week of championship week and I'm not sure that I like it," head coach Gregg Marshall said. "If you make it to Sunday, you literally watch the Selection Show in the Amway Center and then fly home and if you're going to play Thursday you'd have to leave Tuesday, so it's a quick turnaround."

KAKE Sports is in Orlando and will follow the Shockers all week long on air and online.
