Arrest made in Great Bend fatal crash

GREAT BEND, Kan. (KAKE) -

A Texas man has been placed under arrest in a hit and run crash that killed a Great Bend man.

James Zager, 65, was killed on November 29, 2017 as he tried to cross the street in the 4200 block of 10th Street.  The driver left the scene. 

Texas Rangers today placed Rodney Campbell Junior under arrest in rural Anderson County, Texas.   Campbell, 58, was cited for failure to stop at the scene of an accident resulting in death.

The investigation is ongoing.  Anyone with information can call the Great Bend Police Department at (620) 793-4120 or Crime Stoppers at (620) 792-1300.
