Child sex crime charges have been filed against a Kansas teacher and coach.

The criminal complaint was filed last week against 34-year-old Christopher Young for five counts of unlawful sexual relations and three counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

Young turned himself in and has since been released on $50,000 bond. Jail records show he was booked for unlawful sexual relations with a student and sexual exploitation of a child.

Young had served as a teacher and coach at Peabody Junior-Senior High School. He was placed on leave last month.
