Wichita crews work to treat streets during winter weather

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Wichita city road crews worked overnight to keep the streets drivable during the winter weather.

Freezing rain and ice accumulation was the main concern for those truck drivers laying down salt on the roads.

"We continue 24-7. All 60 trucks will be out putting down salt and sand. And paying attention to the areas that are a little more slick."  said city truck driver Wade Johnson.

More winter weather hitting Wichita

With primary routes taken care of, the city will start looking at other roads.
