One more round of freezing rain for Wichita

Posted: Updated:
WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

After a slick start to the day, the freezing drizzle will gradually taper off for the mid to late morning before round two returns. A second batch of light freezing rain will push out of Oklahoma and into South Central Kansas during the mid day hours and could continue into the early afternoon. As the moisture slides north temperatures will also gradually rise close to or above freezing and that means some of the precipitation could fall a rain.

Roads could once again turn slippery this afternoon across South Central Kansas, so use caution when commuting home from work. A refreeze will be possible during the overnight hours as temperatures slip below freezing. Roads should dramatically improve Friday as highs climb back into the middle 40s.
