Great Bend student suspended for school threat

GREAT BEND, Kan. (KAKE) -

Police in Great Bend say a middle school student has been suspended for a threat on social media.

A department spokesperson said police were notified of the threat just before 9 p.m. Monday. Investigators determined the student had made the threat on Snapchat. 

Specifics of the the threat were not released.

The student was interviewed and suspended through USD 428. The case was submitted to the district attorney.
