Arkansas City student arrested for school shooting threat

ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. (KAKE) -

A 15-year-old Arkansas City High School student has been arrested for allegedly saying he was going to "shoot the school up."

School staff informed police that the student made comments that he hated everyone and was going to shooting the school up, police said in a news release. The student was arrested for criminal threat and later released to his parents. 

Additional information was not provided. The school is located at 1200 West Radio Lane.
