Bishop Carroll student arrested for threat on social media

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

A student at Bishop Carroll Catholic High School has been arrested following a threat on social media.

A school official on Friday morning notified Wichita police of a social media post involving a student threatening physical violence at a school. Police did not say which school.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested for criminal threat and charges from previous cases, Officer Charley Davidson said. He did not give details of the other cases.

The school was not in session Friday because of conferences. 

Officer Davidson also said a Southeast High student notified school administrators of a social media post that threatened violence on Snapchat. Wichita police are investigating to determine the source of the post.
