Wichita police searching for suspect in 2016 murder

Wichita Police are asking for help in an ongoing homicide case.

Investigators are searching for Faustino Martinez Jr. who shot and killed Samuel Resendez following an argument that occurred on October 26, 2016.

The argument took place in a parking lot at 2025 S. Seneca at approximately 4:45 p.m.

Martinez fled in a 2010 white Range Rover but the vehicle was later recovered near the scene.

He currently has an outstanding warrant for 1st degree murder, criminal possession of a firearm and possession of narcotics with intent to distribute.

Investigators believe that Martinez could be in New Mexico, California or still in the Wichita area.
