WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

A former deputy with the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office has been accused of not turning in evidence connected to a narcotics investigation.

Sheriff Jeff Easter said during a news conference that former deputy Justin Price on Tuesday was charged with official misconduct. Price had been with the sheriff's office for about four and a half years.

Easter said a citizen reported the alleged misconduct on December 17, 2017. Price was charged following a criminal investigation by the Wichita Police Department.

Easter did not give specifics on the narcotics investigation with which Price was involved. The department reviewed prior cases and believes it was an isolated incident.
