Russell schools to resume tomorrow after widespread illness

RUSSELL, Kan. (KAKE) -

Students in Russell USD 407 will be back in classes tomorrow,  after being out since Friday due to widespread illness.

The district made the decision to close schools Friday, February 9 and Monday, February 12.   A message on the district website indicated 20 percent of the district's students were absent due to illness.   

Simpson Elementary had the highest level of absenteeism at 32 percent.
