HUTCHINSON, Kan. (KAKE) -

A 22-year-old Hutchinson man accused of molesting two children for years has pleaded guilty to two felony charges to avoid a life sentence.

Adam Miller entered the plea on two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with an 11-year-old and a 14-year-old. The last incident occurred in November of 2015.

“It’s been ongoing for years, probably 10 years,” Schroeder told the Hutchinson News after Miller's arrest. “There were multiple instances, but I only charged one instance for each child.”

The News reports one of the charges falls under Jessica's Law, which carries a sentence of 25 years to life. But under the plea agreement, the DA's office is recommending Miller be sentenced to a lesser felony.

Miller is out on bond pending sentencing in Reno County next month.

He's also charged in Jackson County, Missouri, with similar crimes involving the same children and faces a charge in Sedgwick County,
