SALINA, Kan. (KAKE) -

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation has canceled a Silver Alert after a missing 89-year-old Salina man was found dead.

Gene Wolfe was last seen leaving his home at around 3 p.m. Saturday. He was believed to have left home in a white 2002 Ford Taurus and headed to a cemetery in Manchester.

The Salina Police Department said Wolfe had Alzheimer's and dementia and was known to show violent tendencies with his family.

The KBI canceled the alert early Monday afternoon.

Capt. Mike Sweeney with the Salina Police Department said a Dickinson County deputy was sent to the report of a vehicle off the road in the 2800 block of Avenue Road. Wolfe's body was found inside.

Sweeney said there were no signs of foul play.
