WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Wichita police say a 36-year-old woman has been killed in a shooting at a home near Riverside.

Officers were called at around 3:40 a.m. Thursday to the report of a shooting in the 700 block of North Edwards, near Central and McLean. Officers found numerous shell casings outside the home and a woman dead in the living room area. Her name was not released.

"It appears, through out investigation, that an unknown person from outside the residence fired several shots into the residence," Capt. Brent Allred said.

There were also three men in the home at the time of the shooting. They were being interviewed by detectives.

"We don't know if the victim was the intended victim," Capt. Allred said. "We're following up on several leads right now."

No arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
