Police investigate strong-arm robbery at Wichita convenience store

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Wichita police are searching for a man who robbed a local convenience store early Wednesday morning.

Officers were called at around 1:45 a.m. to the report of a strong-arm robbery at the Circle K at 3311 North Rock Road, near K-96. The 21-year-old clerk told officers the suspect entered the business, pulled out a plastic grocery bag and demanded money.

The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes and was last seen leaving on foot. Officer Charley Davidson said no weapon was seen or indicated. 

No one was hurt.

Officer Davidson described the suspect as a thin white man in his 20s standing about 5-foot-6. He wore blue jeans, a gray hoodie, a black coat, tan work boots and an orange ski mask.
