Dollar General issues recall of iced cookies

Posted: Updated:

Dollar General Corporation has announced a voluntary recall of iced oatmeal cookies sold in 44 states, including Kansas, due to a packaging mistake that threatens people with milk and nut allergies.

The FDA says Clover Valley Iced Oatmeal Cookies for Dollar General mistakenly put coconut macaroons in the packaging for the cookies. Consumers with a milk and/or nut allergy or sensitivity to these items should not consume the oatmeal cookies.

The packages have lot number of L46217 30 and a best-by date of August 18, 2018. That single lot was distributed in 44 states.

Customers who purchased this product are encouraged to discard it or return to their local Dollar General store to exchange the product for a like item. Consumers with questions may contact Dollar General’s Customer Service Department at 1-800-678-9258 seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST or by emailing
