Shocker women beat Memphis for first AAC win

Rangie Bessard scored 24 points and had 10 rebounds as the Wichita State Shockers took down Memphis 69-61 on Wednesday night.

The win is their first in the American Athletic Conference.

WSU (6-12, 1-3) dominated the glass winning the rebounding battle, 39-25, including 15 offensive boards.

This snaps a four game losing skid. They will be back in action on Saturday at Tulane for a 2:30 p.m. tip-off.
