WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Sedgwick County officials have identified two workers killed in a Wichita-area grain elevator earlier this week.

Marcus Tice, 32, and Joshua Rasbold, 28, died Tuesday at the Gavilon Grain elevator near 55th Street South and Hoover.

A YouCaring page says Tice leaves behind a wife and two stepdaughters, and Rasbold's obituary says he was the father of two boys.

Sedgwick County Fire Department Capt. Don Boone says firefighters used special equipment during their three-hour-long search to find the two men, who were buried under 20 to 25 feet of grain.

It isn't clear how they got into the bin and what caused them to become trapped.

"If it's a total engulfment, you have minutes to live," Boone said. "The option of saving them sometimes is not there. So, that's the hardest piece of this to deal with is you kind of feel like you lost, but really you had no control over it."

OSHA investigators have six months to complete their investigation.
