Puppies stolen from 2 Wichita pet stores

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

The search is on for the people who stole puppies from two Wichita pet stores. 

Burglars broke glass to get inside Petland, 11333 E. Kellogg, after 2:00 a.m. Tuesday. Security video shows two people breaking the glass door on a kennel and running out of the store carrying two puppies.

Stolen were a blue merle female miniature australian shepherd and a black and white male french bulldog. The puppies were being housed in the same kennel. 

Petland will offer up to a $4,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspects and the safe return of the puppies.  

A Golden Retriever and Husky-Healer mix were also taken from the Petland West, 3620 Maize Road, according to Barnhart. Authorities recovered the Golden Retriever
