Animal advocates call for pet owners to provide shelter for pets

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

As temperatures are forecast to be sub-zero, animal advocates are calling for pet owners to find shelter for their animals.

“I want to see them bring them inside first and foremost,” said Angie Marlett of Wichita Animal Action League.

Marlett says that with such cold temperatures, animals need a place to stay warm. “If you see something, say something,” Marlett said of animals left alone and struggling in the cold.

She suggests Wichita residents call in to Animal Control or Wichita Animal Action League through their email at welfare@waalrescue.org if they see animals struggling in the cold.
