Popular Wichita restaurant robbed on Christmas Eve

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

A Wichita restaurant employee says he was robbed by a man with a shotgun on Christmas Eve.  It happened at approximately 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the NuWay in the 3400 block of East Harry.

Police say the 45-year-old victim told them he was leaving work when he was approached by a man holding a shotgun.  The robber, described as a black man who was 5-foot, 10-inches tall, 180 pounds and wearing an orange hoodie, allegedly pointed the shotgun at the victim and demanded money.

The suspect took money from the victim and ran away.  The victim was not hurt.

Wichita Police ask anyone with information about this crime to please call Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
