BARBER COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) -

The Barber County Sheriff's Office has released the body camera video from a deadly shooting involving an unarmed man.

Stephen Myers of Sun City was shot with a bean bag round in a confrontation with deputies back in October. His wife, Kristina Myers, then sued the department claiming the sheriff didn't trained his staff on how to properly use the bean bag rifle. Myers' widow also sued to get the department to release the body camera video from the night of the shooting.

Earlier this month a judge ruled for the sheriff's office to release the video to the family. The family will still be at a court  Friday, December 22nd despite receiving the footage. KAKE News will be in court and will update this story as we get more information.
