Missing Wichita man found safe

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Wichita Police say a missing man who was the subject of a Silver Alert has been found safe. Other details were not immediately available. 

Officers say Simon Canas, 87, was last seen around 6:00 p.m. Wednesday evening. His family says he has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and dementia.

Wichita Police are asking for your help in locating a missing man. Officers say Simon Canas, 87, was last seen at a Quick Trip at Kellogg and Broadway around 6:00 p.m. Wednesday evening.

His family says he has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and dementia. He is described as 5" 08, 125 pounds and was last seen wearing a green coat with a gray shirt with Farha Roofing on it.
