Authorities in central Kansas have confiscated thousands of dollars worth of marijuana that was being sent through the U.S. mail.

Law enforcement officers from Barton and Ellsworth counties executed two search warrants in the city of Great Bend on Monday. With the assistance of a K-9 and the United States Postal Service, approximately $7,500 worth of pot was confiscated.

The Barton County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post that the weed was being sent through the mail and one person has been arrested. More arrests are expected.

The case is still under investigation.
