Sheriff's office: Man dumps puppy in Hutchinson yard

HUTCHINSON, Kan. (KAKE) -

Authorities in Reno County are investigating a possible case of animal cruelty after someone dumped a puppy in the front yard of a home.

The incident was reported Tuesday afternoon in the 200 block of Westland Drive in Hutchinson. Capt. Steve Lutz with the Reno County Sheriff's Office said the female pit bull mix had several scars on its face. 

The sheriff's office said the suspect is a while man in his late 20s to early 30s. He was driving a blue two-door car, possibly a Honda, Toyota or Hyundai.
