Wichita police have arrested a 16-year-old boy in connection to a shooting death earlier this month.

The teen was arrested Tuesday at an apartment complex in the 1700 block of North Hillside. Officer Charley Davidson said police were following up on the November 5 shooting death of Nakari Moore when officers saw the suspect enter the complex.

Police took the teenager into custody without incident. He was booked for first-degree murder.

Police said Moore was paying a bill at the MetroPCS at 2811 South Hydraulic when he was shot.

Officer Davidson said after the shooting that officers were also searching for a another person who was in the victim's vehicle.

A suspect wanted on a felony warrant is in custody after police searched an apartment complex near 17th and Hillside early Tuesday evening.

Wichita police officers got a tip that a man they'd been searching for related to a previous investigation was in the Grandview Apartments. When they arrived, they found he was in one of the apartments and refused to leave for nearly an hour.

Officers said they were finally able to talk the suspect out and he's been taken into custody.

No one was hurt in the incident. Police will not release his name or the crime for which he was wanted until at least Wednesday morning.
